Collab: uncle and nephew
My nephew Jakie drove up from San Diego, CA with his wife Sydney, their child Luke, and dog Dex to visit me. When Jakie was little, we would draw and paint together. He's all growns up now where we got to create this piece of art together. Entitled "flag (an homage to his dad)," Jakie initiated most of the direction for this piece. From cutting the cardboard into strips, tiering them in ascending and descending order and most significantly shifting the context into the "police flag" and adding "WPD" stencil to honor his dad who passed 5 years ago as well as serving as a police officer for the department.
